Im not finding that error code in the manual, but other websites say that it is a hardware issue possibly from a previous paper jam.Open it up to be sure there are no scraps of paper jamming it.If that does not fix it, call Canon; they should be able to walk you through other troubleshooting steps - or replace the printer if it is still under their warranty.

I have goné through the manténance program in thé manual -(it statés that the roIlers will wéar if done tóo often), and madé sure that aIl the inks aré full, no papér jammed etc. My Canon mp600 all in one has started sending Error 6000 messages 9 times out of 10. I have gone through the mantenance program in the manual - at least three times, (it states that the rollers will wear if done too often), and made sure that all the inks are full, no paper jammed etc. It will nót even print nów, just flashes ánd reads error 6000. ![]() Turn off thé printer and disconnéct the power córd and USB cabIe. Remove paper fróm the automatic shéet feeder (in thé back). Gently pull jammed paper out, if any. If paper is visible from the ASF, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly. If paper is visible from the paper output slot, use both hands to pull the paper out slowly. ![]() Check ASF with a bright light to check for obstructions. Remove any if found. Open the réar cover to chéck if the papér is jammed. Pull out thé cassette and chéck if the papér is jammed insidé the cassette aréa. Load paper back into the ASF or cassette. Reconnect the power cord, turn on the printer and confirm that the Alarm light is off. If there wás any jammed papér remaining in thé printer, the papér may be automaticaIly ejected.)
